Energen Credit Union is an independent full service financial institution that provides credit union services to the employees and family members of the Energen Corporation. Energen Credit Union is a member owned financial institution controlled by its Board of Directors dully elected by its Field of Membership and is not owned, managed, controlled, subsidized, or other wise affiliated with the Energen Corporation.

All compensated employees of the credit union are not employees of the Energen Corporation. Board members and Supervisory Committee members are non-compensated elected volunteers of the Credit Union and may or may not be employees of the Energen Corporation.

Neither member's financial involvement nor transactions with Energen Credit Union are not subject to review and/or disclosure to the Energen Corporation. The Energen Corporation has no financial investment or ownership interest in Energen Credit Union and Energen Credit Union has no financial investment or ownership interest in the Energen Corporation.

As a policy, Energen Credit Union does not share information concerning its membership with any outside third parties, including the Energen Corporation, as explained in detail in the Privacy Policy disclosed on this web site.

This web site is designed solely as an informational and transactional tool for the members of Energen Credit union. 

Membership

Membership to Energen Credit Union is open to all employees and family members of employees of the Energen/Energen Resources/Alagasco Corporation. Membership requires an eligible person to deposit $5.00 dollars into a share account. Potential members that join the credit union are voted on and approved by the Board of Directors. Each member that has a share account with the credit union is considered an owner of the credit union and has voting rights at any called meeting of the membership and has a claim to the Net Worth of the credit union. A member can lose his voting rights by causing the credit union a loss on a loan and at that point he /she is deemed to be 'Not in good standing'.

Family members are considered to be any blood relative that include the following; spouse, child, parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, and nephew. Energen Credit Union encourages all employees of the Energen Corporation to have blood relatives join Energen Credit union. Energen Credit Union is a single sponsor credit union and is not open to the general public. Once you are a member of Energen Credit Union you are always a member even if you employment with the Energen/Alagasco Corporation terminates and this hold true for any family members that have joined the credit union.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) insures each member account up to $250,000.

Energen Credit Union is a 'not for profit' cooperative financial institution.
